Music Evangelism
The ministry of Jonathan and Wendy Baker centers around their love for the Lord and their desire to lead others in heart-felt worship towards Jesus Christ. Even though the Bakers have served in church ministry for many years filling numerous roles, it’s in the area of music evangelism that they feel God has called them to serve. In 2004, Jonathan and Wendy moved to Forth Worth, TX, with their three children, to begin attending Southwestern Theological Baptist Seminary to become equipped for this Kingdom work. It is Jonathon and Wendy’s hope to help serve believers, however they may, to be drawn closer to the Creator who desperately desires an intimate relationship with His creation.
Jonathan and Wendy have been influenced by many different styles of music and enjoy a variety of music in their repertoire. They grew up on everything Christian ranging from Gold City and the Dixie Echoes to DC Talk, 4Him, The Martins, The Gaither Vocal Band, and various Praise & Worship artists. Their southern gospel roots are recognized in songs such as House of Gold, O For a Thousand Tongues, and Testify. Some of more contemporary songs include One Thing I Know, Wonderful, Merciful Savior, and No Greater Love. Knowing that each of us is uniquely created, Jonathan and Wendy hope to reach a variety of ages and personalities through a combination of musical styles.
